New Challenge: Epic 80s
This month's challenge features hundreds of fresh prompts from the bodacious decade of the 1980s.

Just a collection of stories about my favorite characters/ships in Silmarillion

Also known as: Encaitariel’s Guide to Nargothrond and Its Denizens
This is a collection of the bits that I have collected (and continue to collect) about my Nargothrond and those Elves who inhabit her: some are character sketches, some (unposted) responses to challenge prompts I have seen here or there, and some are just bits of scene to flesh out relationships. Some will never been seen outside of these chapters, but others may eventually find a place and context within a larger work.
As always, I thank you ahead of time for taking the time and attention to read.

My Finduilas/Nienor stories in the \'Somewhere I Have Never Travelled\' AU \'verse.

An essay on the subject of where the hell Beleg Cúthalion gets to in the second half of The Children of Húrin. He may be dead, but why is even his memory conspicuously absent?

Huan helps Lúthien escape from Nargothrond--everyone knows that--but he doesn't do it alone.

Gwindor's attention is not where it should be, and his brother has noticed.

On the eve of the War of Wrath, a reborn Nando is not quite sure which side of the Sea she belongs on.

Finduilas has a rare opportunity, a harp lesson with both her aunt and her uncle, Galadriel and Finrod.
But during the session, there is a point she feels she needs to raise...

A cute outing early on in the courtship of Finduilas Faelivrin and Gwindor during the Long Peace.

Vignettes of four elves celebrating holidays over the years, and one holiday spent togeather. For The Silmarillion Writer's Guild 'Seasons Greetings' challenge.
Glorfindel: Tarnin Austa in Gondolin
Gildor: Begetting Day in Nargothrond
Erestor: Turuhalmë on Amon Ereb
Lindor: Coming of Age in Lindon
Yestarë in Imladris

Finduilas is still trying to settle in in Nargothrond, when she receives a gift from Finrod.

Finally, Gil-galad said, "Why did you come out here alone?"
Elrond didn't answer right away. He picked up a seashell and turned it over in his fingers. "I was—angry," he said finally. "It would not be befitting for the lord of Imladris to stand in the middle of Mithlond and scream at the sky, I thought."

Gwindor comes to Tol Sirion to propose to Finduilas.

Finduilas is not ready to leave the Halls of Mandos yet.

Níniel needs Finduilas to help her remember a word. Or maybe she just wants to kiss her.

Back in Nargothrond after several seasons on the northern border, Túrin finds himself entangled in Gwindor's personal and political conflicts and comes to a decision about his own future.

Gwindor and Finduilas meet for the last time before he leaves for what would afterwards be called the Battle of Unnumbered Tears.

For into darkness fell his star
In Mordor, where the shadows are

A series of seven drabbles about Nargothrond and those who became involved with its fate, based on a set of river-related prompts from Tolkien Weekly.

Finduilas, Niënor and Nellas all live on Amon Obel. Entanglements are inevitable.

Finduilas and Nienor find each other again, but that is only the beginning.
Written for preplexingly for EveryWoman 2016.

Who will fetch forth Turin to the fight, as the Dagor Dagorath approaches?
Written for Kenaz for the "Around the Fire" Challenge.

A moment with Finduilas and Níniel.

Finduilas, recovering from her wound among the folk of Brethil, finds a young woman on Haleth's grave-mound, and fate is changed. (Finduilas/Nienor; canon divergence AU.)

After her death, Nienor is found by the ghost of Finduilas, who has been watching over Brethil, and offered a new existence.
(I tagged for suicide and character death to be safe, but the character deaths are all canonical and take place before the beginning of the story.)
