New Challenge: Title Track
Tolkien's titles range from epic to lyrical to metaphorical. This month's challenge selected 125 of them as prompts for fanworks.

Niënor takes Finduilas into the gardens of Nargothrond - and it turns out far better than either of them imagined.

(Also cabbages, and kings.) Ficlets which are, even by my standards, too short to stand alone (and aren't part of a series).
#6: Finduilas contemplates sickness and Nienor.

These are the girls of Minas Tirith before Sauron comes.
(Character study to Release from Bondage)

The story of two elves from Nargothrond, neither important enough to be mentioned in the family trees of kings or heroic songs, who lost their names in Angband's slavery. The childhood companion of Finduilas Faelivrin must take the princess's identity to survive in the enemy's hands. Another prisoner, regretting he did not join Beren’s quest, tries his best to save her.
or
The later half of The Silmarillion from the POV of prisoners in Angband, as inspired by A Dance with Dragons.

"In those halls in the hills at that homecoming
mirth was mingled with melting tears"
(The Lay of the Children of Húrin, Canto III:1999-2000)

Mandos fic madness for Halloween. In the halls of waiting, on the ward of the Ñ-specials, Tyelpe Curufinwion, Fëanorian brat extraordinaire, tells of his coming to Gondolin.
Written for alackofghosts on tumblr whose character design for Tyelpe I have shamelessly stolen. It was her art who made me wonder how this could happen.

While the War of the Elves and Sauron rages in Middle-earth, Finduilas welcomes Elwing on Tol Eressëa to let her seek out news about her son. Neither woman expected to have her feelings thrown into turmoil by the visit. Written for Calima at AinA 2014.

Finduilas and Niënor survive and take refuge at the Havens.

A collection for stories about the Edain.
Recently added: The chair (Sador Labadal)

Níniel meets a wraith at night. Written for the Hearts in Council fic fest.

Ulmo be thanked, the Noldorin refugees have finally found a leader. He has the most ridiculous name, though: Ereinion. "The Scion of Kings". And where did he come from, anyway?
Cirdan attempts to find out.

In the wake of Finrod's abdication and departure, Finduilas struggles to uphold order in Nargothrond in whatever way she can, and finds herself involved, if quietly, in momentous events. Written for Zdenka at Not Primetime 2013.

The sorrow of Finduilas still marks her grave. A stranger wanders through the woodland green and stumbles across the mound.

Thirty-one drabbles, each from the point of view of a different member of the House of Finwë

A song of Finduilas and her spirit. Though she hath gone to Mandos, her ghost haunts Turin to the end. From her voice.

Five things about Finduilas, daughter of Orodreth.

Very short pieces set in Beleriand or Valinor, some of which are slightly experimental.
Now added: Shadowy Cloak (Beren and Luthien, after the fall of Tol-in-Gaurhoth)

The life of the last High King of the Noldor.

The grief of Finduilas and Gwindor, as each considers the loss of the other.

Three poems that tell of the tragic story of Gwindor, Finduilas, and Túrin, from three points of view.

After the Halls of Mandos some reunions are bittersweet

A gathering place for ficlets of varying length written in response to prompts, prods and as gift ficlets.
New (added February 15/16, 2025): Instadrabbling fics from various SWG server sessions in early 2025 (marked in the respective chapter notes) as well as a few spontaneous drabbles.

Thus ended Beleg Strongbow, truest of friends, greatest in skill of all that harboured in the woods of Beleriand in the Elder Days, at the hand of him whom he most loved.
Or did he not? What would have happened if, by a slight change of fate, Beleg Strongbow survived?
This story ends here and is not going to be ever continued because my co-author Rhapsody is no longer with us. She died on October the 22nd 2020 and it is when my heart shattered.
