This story is just a really flully idea that has come to my mind that I have done my best to write today, it was not beta read so please excuse eventual grammar mistakes :)

Elladan and Elrohir are born at twilight in summer.

Roverandom set off at a trot over the road and into the fields beyond. Elwing lets the twins help her in the kitchen.

Winter snows blanketed the forests. The trees bent under its weight, the leaves sparse, the shrubs bare. Shimmering crystals of ice formed out of the dew, glittering in the white starlight. In these deep dark hours, the mist gave the woodland a dreamlike haze, curling around the bare feet of the two elves, but its chill did not disturb them.

“I see it.” She leaned farther out of the window, as though those few inches might grant her a better look. She had one hand raised to shield her eyes from the sun’s glare. “It looks like—”
“Yes, but it can’t be.”
