From the SWG discord instadrabbling session on January 19, 2025. For the prompt: "This is a torch song. Touch me and you'll burn." Arien and Thuringwethil were lovers once.
They have been lovers once, long ago when all but them was blessed darkness. They Sang together, and she spread her wings to sail joyfully to the flame suspended amid the innumerable stars, uncorrupted, yet wishing to be one of them.
They meet again when all has changed - or do not, rather. She spreads leathery wings to hide her eyes from the daystar glare on the sky, once a star-studded comfort, even in her servitude to the Dark. This new fire, this terrible consuming thing, she knows she can never touch again, or become but a cinder to her glory.
