New Challenge: Allusive
Literature and art constantly refer back to each other using allusions, and this month's prompts are inspired by allusions to literature, myth, art, and history.
From Anna IdleLeaves's prompt: name, stars, grief, sight
It was in her name, after all. Nie, a tear, a single drop of water that reflected and refracted the starlight above. They thought all tears were grief, that her purpose was to mourn, and cry, and sigh at the injustice of the world. That her sight would always be clouded with a film of tears.
They did not count on her patience. The wellspring of rage that was kindled when the Lamps fell was fed over many ages of despair. No longer. Dagor Dagorath has come. Let them feel the wrath of one who has felt so much sorrow.
