New Challenge: Title Track
Tolkien's titles range from epic to lyrical to metaphorical. This month's challenge selected 125 of them as prompts for fanworks.

When he encounters a new harvest worker, a farmer in Formenos is reminded of the great march under starlight across the east of Middle-earth to the shores of the Great Sea. MPTT Harvest Challenge, October 2012; Prompts: waggon, help, young. Beta: Ignoblebard.

Written in response Oshun's The Beautiful Battlements of the Fortress on Himring Hill. Maedhros has trouble sleeping. Maedhros/Fingon (vague) smut.

Written at the request of Moetushie-–in the form of a comment fic on her LJ. Not much of a plot, simply Fingon and Maedhros sitting in a room at the top of Himring Hill Castle K-I-S-S-I-N-G. With a Beta read by Ignoble Bard and with some serious help from him in closing it--on the co-writing credit: he wrote the last sentence; I edited it lightly. (Without him, I probably couldn't write at all, too fraught with self doubt.)

Fingon and Maedhros, in space and what they did there.

A series of three vignettes from the life of Galadriel.
Home is behind, the world ahead (First Age): Shortly after her arrival in Middle-earth, Galadriel visits the beach of Losgar.
Does not apply (First Age): Galadriel in conversation with her eldest brother Finrod Felagund.
The world behind and home ahead (Third Age): Galadriel leaves Middle-earth, boarding ship at the Grey Havens.
Now added: an extra double drabble: "Star-glass", on the making of the phial of Galadriel

A brief moment between cousins and friends at one of Tirion's many festivals.

Fingon's gardener and his reactions to the invasion of his garden by a son of Feanor. Set in Tirion, a short time after Maedhros's re-embodiment.

Because he prayed for this, and wanted.

To die is different from what anyone supposed, and luckier.
Fingon and Maedhros, in a different war. AU, certainly.

He wants only for a sharp knife and a little courage.

Following the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, the sons of Fëanor wandered in the woods of Ossiriand. Maglor and Maedhros travel together, recovering from their physical wounds and slowly succumbing to their emotional ones. Maedhros/Fingon. Dark.

Maedhros/Fingon. A supernatural double drabble. Warnings for slash and canon character death.

Short pieces that are not true drabbles and are part of my Maedhros series.
Now added: Fingon Toasts the Stars (free verse)

A conversation between Fingon and Maedhros, after Finrod’s death.

Maedhros has been re-embodied and is living in Findekano's house in Tirion. But where is Nerdanel?
Maedhros is suffering from the worst kind of writer's block. In some ways, it turns out, he is not so very different from his mother.
[Now added: a fourth chapter]

This is an attempt to weave the different accounts of the making and the history of the Elessar into a coherent narrative.
Now added: intervening chapter on Gil-galad.

The ice of the Helcaraxe grants no mercy. Aredhel refuses to let Turgon drown in sorrow after Elenwe dies. But it is hard for Aredhel to give comfort when she is avoiding her own grief.

A collection of Elleth's 2012 B2MeM Bingo fics. Individual summaries (and warnings, if necessary) are provided in the chapter notes.

For B2MeM 2012. Prompts- "Grief," "Childhood Sweethearts," and "Unconditional Love."

Very short pieces set in Beleriand or Valinor, some of which are slightly experimental.
Now added: Shadowy Cloak (Beren and Luthien, after the fall of Tol-in-Gaurhoth)

Maedhros likens some of his loved ones to the elements.

In Mithrim, during Maedhros’s time of recovery, Maglor appears one evening at Fingolfin’s camp and asks Fingon to return to Maedhros’s side. On his way back to the Feanorian camp, Fingon remembers the incident that made him stay away. When he finally reaches his cousin, it turns out that there was something Maglor had failed to mention.
With a vignette of Fingon on the quays of Alqualonde.
Warnings for aftermath of torture (Thangorodrim) and violence (Alqualonde) as per canon.
(Fingon/Maedhros; not explicit)

Scenes featuring Maedhros and Fingon in Valinor, set during the Years of the Trees.
Now added: "The Bear Incident".
