New Challenge: Title Track
Tolkien's titles range from epic to lyrical to metaphorical. This month's challenge selected 125 of them as prompts for fanworks.

She has made her decision, and all he feels is relief.

On the Helcaraxë at the first moonrise, past memories and future hope

Caranthir hears of a Moriquendi tribe with a rather unusual practice. He wishes to seek their demise immediately, but one of his daughters selects a different path.

A clan of Easterlings makes their way into Beleriand, where they forge an unlikely friendship with the very people they are supposed to betray.

Maglor rescues Celebrían before the orcs take her deep into their caves. Life in Imladris will never be the same.

A blade forged from star-metal by the hand of an Elf from Nan Elmoth proves to be capable of speech, thought, and being judgmental. No, not that one, another one.
Or, in which Maeglin is justly killed with his own treachery, but somewhat differently than the old tales convey.
Inspired by the leaf decor dagger.

A Yuletide Ball set in Vinyamar in the First age.
This work is for elemmire-of-aman for the Tolkien Secret Santa Exchange 2018.
It can be read as a standalone or as part of the Silver & Gold Verse (soon to be published)
Prompt: Glorfindel, Fingon, Maedhros, Russingon. No NSFW.

A series of misadventures has left Galadriel in disgrace; Finarfin thinks a summer with Olwë might help his daughter find her way. After all: nothing exciting ever happens in Alqualondë. A story of questionable fashion choices, growing up, and finding one's place.

Ossë's rebellion. I used the quote from the Fall of Arthur off the starter course to create this Fish Course dish... I have no regrets.
In the South from sleep
to swift fury
a storm was stirred,
striding northward
over leagues of water
loud with thunder
and roaring rain
it rushed onward.

In the dead of Hithlum's icy winter a battered Maedhros restores what peace he can to himself and his people, much to his brothers' chagrin.
This story is a gift for Dawn Felagund, who requested Fëanorian family dynamics, but without the holiday fluff. Consider this one a most unfluffy palate cleanser ;-)
Many thanks to Grundy, who did a wonderful and very thorough job beta-ing this story. All remaining mistakes are mine.

In Nargothrond, Celebrimbor's final conversation with Finrod leaves an impression that will stay with him to the fall of Ost-in-Edhil.

Celebrimbor has a realization about his partner, Annatar. Written for the Matryoshka Challenge 2018.

He thinks that he's going insane, that only his now ruined music stays. His memories are fleeing, abandoning him. But some remain.

Elladan really wasn't planning to get thrown back in time to Beleriand, but the world didn't bother asking his opinion. Now, he struggles to find a way back home as the First Age unfolds around him. The host of newly acquired relatives, including a great-uncle with a flair for dramatics, sons of Fëanor who insist on being people rather than historical villains, and a several-times great-grandmother with some unexpected skills, just make it more overwhelming.
And where is Gil-galad, anyway? Shouldn't he be around here somewhere?

Celebrimbor was first imagined as the descendant of Daeron. I decided to run with it.
Celebrimbor was the heir to the kingdom of Doriath before his father decided to vanish into thin air, leaving naught but a hastily scribbled note for a messenger to hand to him. In a difficult position as the black sheep of the royal family, Celebrimbor decides to leave for Nargothrond hoping not only to find a place where he fits in, but perhaps even word on the mysterious figure that was his mother.

Maedhros and Maglor realise the price they have paid for the Silmarils.

After Elwing casts herself into the Sea, Maglor finds her sons.

During the Kinslaying at the Havens of Sirion, one of the Fëanorian soldiers makes a choice.

Hador and Gildis have their first row.

As the Ringbearers prepare to depart from Middle Earth, one last question still weighs on Elrond's mind. Gandalf is not sure how to answer it. Six thousand years ago at the Havens of Sirion, the twin sons of Feanor found an answer for themselves: one that spoke of little pity and of no hope at all.
Elrond is not willing to accept it, and Gandalf wonders.

Hador begs the forgiveness of Gildis.

Gondor after the death of Isildur is weak, ripe for the pickings - but what stirs among her neighbours is not what Elrond feared, and Erestor’s talents are put to a wholly different test than either expected when he and Glorfindel head into the desert to explore the sentiments of the region post the fall of Barad-dûr.
