New Challenge: Title Track
Tolkien's titles range from epic to lyrical to metaphorical. This month's challenge selected 125 of them as prompts for fanworks.

During various moments in his life, Celebrimbor is forced to reconsider the meaning of peace.

It is written that Melkor was imprisoned in the depths of Mandos for Three Aeons after his capture in Middle Earth. Studies in modern times have proven that true solitary confinement leads to madness and that interaction with others is essential to mental stability and healing. Yet, Melkor sat isolated and alone - was he already insane, or did his extreme solitude tip the balance and plunge him into deeper madness. I present a conversation between Melkor and Namo written for the Taboo challenge categories of Murder, Cannibalism, Ostracism and Exile and Consequences.

An Orc dies; what happens when he wakes up again in the Halls of Mandos and is forced to remember that he too belonged to the race of the Eldar?

Even at the best of times, life in the Black Land is a struggle. Its denizens seem to be their own worst enemies and things are rarely as they first seem. A certain Orc finds that out the hard way. Sequel to "Wolves And Shattered Shields".

An Orc and an Elf tries to learn to live with a bond that should not be, but as the War between the Elves and Sauron picks up things go from bad to worse. Sequel to "The Ties that Bind".

Elrond rescues Maglor from a laboratory. Hurt/comfort.

Mairon discovers a new game he likes to play with his favorite captive, and much to his amusement Maedhros takes equal delight in it — until the illusion scatters. Spiced up with a pinch of unhealthy Angbang.

It was said that Gorlim greatly loved his wife, Eilinel. Other things went unsaid, though the result was the same either way.

Lorgan goes to Angband.

Thuringwethil feeds.

A cleaner at the Temple makes a badly-timed remark.

Angmar is given a ring by Annatar...

A letter from Beren to Galadriel concerning Finrod's death.

Celebrimbor makes one last attempt to reach out to his friend.

Celebrimbor, Lord of Eregion recieves an emissary from the West claiming to be a Vanya smith. The teachings he comes bearing are controversial; how to imprint thoughts and wills into matter using Song, and words of power. As the emissary gains support with king and court, their relationship becomes entangled with secrets and the weight of the past.

Annatar being awful (how surprising) and playing a dangerous game with Tyelpe’s daddy issues.

Annatar likes to paint, but not with ordinary artist's colors. His medium of choice is blood and other bodily fluids, using naked skin as canvas; and now, he is his own master and can do with his captives as he pleases. This is a sick and disturbing snippet of Celebrimbor's suffering in Annatar's hands shortly after his capture and before his death.
Heed the warnings [blood, excessive violence, knife- and bloodplay, graphic description of torture, torture with chemicals] - this is no happy or fluffy fic (but includes an edit and a fanmix)

Fingon rescues Maedhros from Thangorodrim, in all its awful detail.

Fingon rescues Maedhros from Thangorodrim.

Mandos fic madness for Halloween. In the halls of waiting, on the ward of the Ñ-specials, Tyelpe Curufinwion, Fëanorian brat extraordinaire, tells of his coming to Gondolin.
Written for alackofghosts on tumblr whose character design for Tyelpe I have shamelessly stolen. It was her art who made me wonder how this could happen.

Story by pandemonium_213: The grisly banner having served its purpose, Sauron enlists the assistance of his soldiers and bodyguard to bear Celebrimbor's corpse to its final resting place in the foothills of the Misty Mountains while a snowstorm approaches from the southwest.
Note: Descriptions of torture and a deteriorating corpse may be too intense for some readers (roughly equivalent to MPAA R-rating or TV Ratings Mature Audience); some expletive language. Pandë!versecentric.

Maglor is the musician and Maedhros is the artist with words. Events lead them to visit a simple homestead, and what they find there is harder to face than expected.

Annatar thoughts after Celebrimbor's death. Ficlet, english and french.
