About Me

Mr Fingon has been writing Tolkien fanfiction of dubious quality since 2001 and Silmarillion fiction in particular since 2002.  Previously, he wrote even worse dreck in other fandoms.

Mr Fingon writes almost exclusively about Elves, because he is an elitist like that.  His usual victims are Glorfindel and Elrond, and his usual topics include dinner parties, Elven hairdos, bad jokes, unpopular interpretations of obscure canonical details, root vegetables, linguistics that nobody cares about, and religion.  He firmly believes that Glorfindel of Gondolin and Glorfindel of Rivendell are two distinct individuals, and has in fact written a story in which the two meet.  And dislike each other.

In his free time, Mr Fingon enjoys watching and thereafter complaining about the historical inaccuracy of television programmes, and drinking tea.  He is a non-practising Cathar (which makes no sense if you think about it) and really likes vegetarian enchiladas (which makes a lot of sense, because enchiladas are delicious).
