Journeying

Gimli rides behind Legolas, and dreams. For the prompt:

Your shoulder blade, your spine, were shorelines in the moonlight

New worlds for the weary, new lands for the living

You always long to journey on

Well past my need for sleep

And Arod will bear us for as long as you ask.

So, with my head on your shoulder and your hair as a pillow

I dream of all we have seen and done,

And shall do and see,

Together in spirit even when apart.

The mountains and forests explored

The trees tended and caves perfected

The strong towers and bright gardens of Minas Tirith

The beauty of Ithilien and Aglarond.

And, at last, my friend and so much more,

Our journey over Sea, and the Undying Lands beyond.
