The storm and the silence

Túrin mourns Beleg. For the prompts:

silence, thunder, guilt, secrets

A new grief opened inside me like an umbrella

All my books are lying useless now, all my maps will only show me how to lose my way

Your silence pounds in my ears like thunder

The thunder is the sound of my guilt

Guilt and grief explode within me

As the rain pours down and I long to drown

In the torrent of tears I do not shed.

Oh, the secrets we will never share!

I cannot bear to think of all you taught me

Which would help me find the way I no longer wish to take.

I sit and mourn as morning comes

As the rain dies away and the thunder fades

The world falls as silent as you

And I will be silent, too.
