Between land and sea

Voronwë on the shore. For the prompts:

night, risk, old, fate  and

I stand amid the roar of a surf-tormented shore

I sit between land and sea,
cast against this wall by a vast wave.
The long dark night of storms is over
and I am back where I was born,
Still young in years, yet old with weariness and loss.
For I have been saved from Ossë's wrath
But all my friends are gone.
The risk was too great,
for the sake of bright stars and a glimpse of cloudy maybe-mountains.
There is now no way West
and I know not where I should go.
But then, I turn from the Sea, and see him
And I feel my fate.
