Maedhros before the attack on Doriath

The story follows Glorfindel and Ecthelion’s relationship from the move from Nevrast until the fall of Gondolin in a series of four short stories. The crumbling relationship between Glorfindel and Ecthelion is used to illustrate the growing divisions in the hidden city until its fall.

Tyelperinquar/Tyelpo (Celebrimbor) and Aulendil (Annatar/Sauron) discuss brotherhood and the secret of the deep arts on an early summer evening in Ost-in-Edhil.
This fic, told from Celebrimbor's point of view, predates The Apprentice by about 240 years, give or take, but it's the same setting. Rating is Teen due to a touch of horror-lite.
MEFA 2008: Second Place, Villains, General.

Noldorin journeymen and masters of the Gwaith-i-Mírdain discuss the secrets of lembas with a Sindarin apprentice to the Yavannildi/Ivonwin.
This was written as a lark in response to the Lembas SWG challenge, but I suppose it could also address the Secret Knowledge challenge. It was meant primarily for SWG site owner’s entertainment, but since I have already embarrassed myself thoroughly via The Apprentice and other self-indulgent hackery, what the heck…I may as well toss this up here on the SWG.
MEFA 2008: Honorable Mention, Elves, General.

Melian has reasons for staying.

A gathering place for ficlets of varying length written in response to prompts, prods and as gift ficlets.
New (added February 15/16, 2025): Instadrabbling fics from various SWG server sessions in early 2025 (marked in the respective chapter notes) as well as a few spontaneous drabbles.

Written for the SWG July 2007 "The Terrible Twos!" Challenge.

An ambitious young Noldorin man of Ost-in-Edhil lands a coveted appointment as an apprentice to the most skilled master smith of the Gwaith-i-Mirdain: Istyar Aulendil. The apprentice's mentor, a prodigy of the Aulënossë, has been sent to Middle-earth by the Valar and has knowledge of exotic and wondrous technology. Istyar Aulendil also has notoriously high standards. The apprentice must meet his mentor's expectations if he is to become a journeyman and work on an important new initiative.
MEFA 2008: First Place, Villains, General.

Maglor, and Elrond and Elros, and their tutor enjoy an afternoon sailing on a lake.

Round robin. Feel free to join in! In honor of SWG's second birthday, we offer a sillyfic about what may have happened if Varda held a party for her beloved husband ... and invited all of Aman. Please see the Story Notes for more details before adding to the story.

The watch fire is lit.

Gondolin - the reality of a gilded cage.

Response to the Slashy Santa (Jingle Bells in June) request by Ennorwen for a story “Set sometime after The Flight of The Noldor, and despite everything at least somewhat hopeful in tone." The story is slash and the pairing is Finrod and Fingon.
**MEFA 2007 Nominee**

A quick drabble written for Finarfin Appreciation Month (January 2006).

Archery practice at Nargothrond. Curufin + bow = OTP. Set not long after Curufin's people settle at Finrod's halls.

Winter morning in Himring, the siedge of Angband time. Short look at the world with bright grey eyes. Vignette, Maedhros' POV.

A short story about the harper singing at the Field of Cormallen. It ties in loosely with my story "Lothíriel" and even more loosely with the Silmarillion. Fourth Age, approximately 3028.
