New Challenge: Title Track
Tolkien's titles range from epic to lyrical to metaphorical. This month's challenge selected 125 of them as prompts for fanworks.

Middle Earth, early Second Age. An Orc captures a young Noldo during an ambush in the White Mountains. He plans to use her for some "sport", but things don't go according to plan. Or perhaps they do?

Mairon discovers a new game he likes to play with his favorite captive, and much to his amusement Maedhros takes equal delight in it — until the illusion scatters. Spiced up with a pinch of unhealthy Angbang.

It was said that Gorlim greatly loved his wife, Eilinel. Other things went unsaid, though the result was the same either way.

Fingolfin wants to make Fëanor pay for the burning of the ships in his very own way. Canon divergence AU for Fëanor being still alive when Fingolfin and his followers reach Beleriand.

After the War of Wrath Mairon is brought back to the Blessed Realm together with Melkor who is cast into the Void shortly after.
feat. the requested h/c from the prompter, rebellious Mairon, and mention of past Angbang.

"Too deep Ingwion was caught in his thoughts to realize that his fears and dreams almost were identical; only the width of a blade separated them."
The story of Eönwë, the Maia, and Ingwion, son of Ingwë, told from both perspectives; a tale of crushed dreams and betrayal, unhealthy obsessions and desires as old as the world itself.

How did Maglor pass Age after Age, never returning to the Elves or coming to their attention? My own musings on what might have happened.....

Eöl discovers the world of fanfiction thanks to Aredhel and agrees to collaborate on a project with her.

In which May is captured and Fin rescues her (with some string-pulling help given by Commander Skywalker, of course). Or, the Fingon/Maedhros edition of Star Wars AUs.

The Sentiment of Steel, or "Sentiment du Fer": a fencer’s ability to use his sword to feel and manipulate the opponent’s sword. A concept with which Glorfindel and Ecthelion are far too familiar.

After the Nirnaeth Arnoediad and Fingon's death Maedhros' depression gets worse over the following months until Maglor deems unusual measures necessary.
(Based on the following plotbunny dialogue that hit me hard one night. "What did Findekáno do to lull you into slumber?" 'Nothing that is of your concern' [..] 'Pleasured me, with his mouth.' "Would you allow me to do the same?")

Annatar likes to paint, but not with ordinary artist's colors. His medium of choice is blood and other bodily fluids, using naked skin as canvas; and now, he is his own master and can do with his captives as he pleases. This is a sick and disturbing snippet of Celebrimbor's suffering in Annatar's hands shortly after his capture and before his death.
Heed the warnings [blood, excessive violence, knife- and bloodplay, graphic description of torture, torture with chemicals] - this is no happy or fluffy fic (but includes an edit and a fanmix)

Glorfindel’s violent death has left incurable mental wounds behind and his memory only consists of very small fragments. Thoughts of how he had failed to protect the White City and its inhabitants trouble him to such an extent that Námo seems incapable to cure him. He is released from the Halls of Waiting to reside in Irmo’s gardens to aid his recovery, because: sooner or later, he has to return to Middle-Earth. However, his state remains unchanged and in his desperation, Irmo consults Manwë for guidance how to proceed with the grieving elf in his care, without being aware of their own fateful history.
This story tells their very own and special history and touches Glorfindel’s motives to leave the Blessed Realm behind, and explains what troubles him to such an extent that he fights against the help of the Valar. Can they reconcile and finally forget what had happened between them millennia ago?

Uldor never wanted this.
Written for Easterlings Appreciation Week.

Not everyone at Losgar is thrilled about burning the fleet. The captain of one of Fëanor's ships questions her orders.

Story by pandemonium_213: The grisly banner having served its purpose, Sauron enlists the assistance of his soldiers and bodyguard to bear Celebrimbor's corpse to its final resting place in the foothills of the Misty Mountains while a snowstorm approaches from the southwest.
Note: Descriptions of torture and a deteriorating corpse may be too intense for some readers (roughly equivalent to MPAA R-rating or TV Ratings Mature Audience); some expletive language. Pandë!versecentric.

Maglor is the musician and Maedhros is the artist with words. Events lead them to visit a simple homestead, and what they find there is harder to face than expected.
