New Challenge: Epic 80s
This month's challenge features hundreds of fresh prompts from the bodacious decade of the 1980s.

An exploration of the dynamic between Curufin and Celebrimbor in Nargothrond, how the father struggles with his own issues and mental blindness after the loss of Himlad and how Celebrimbor tries to bring his father back the way he used to be.
Celegorm as the 'unfortunate' witness of it.
+ a cat.
Illustrations by the talented Soraniizu

Annatar being awful (how surprising) and playing a dangerous game with Tyelpe’s daddy issues.

Annatar likes to paint, but not with ordinary artist's colors. His medium of choice is blood and other bodily fluids, using naked skin as canvas; and now, he is his own master and can do with his captives as he pleases. This is a sick and disturbing snippet of Celebrimbor's suffering in Annatar's hands shortly after his capture and before his death.
Heed the warnings [blood, excessive violence, knife- and bloodplay, graphic description of torture, torture with chemicals] - this is no happy or fluffy fic (but includes an edit and a fanmix)

Gwindor and Celebrimbor have a chat.

A short piece about young Celebrimbor and his father, being happy in Aman.

Short tales that should have remained untold.

Gil-galad and Celebrimbor have a great life together in Aman, until a certain person from the past shows up.

Galadriel takes care of an unwanted suitor in her own inimitable way.

A place to store drabbles and ficlets, mostly written for various prompts.

Short scenes set in my "Wrapped Up in Books" series.

Elrond travels to Ost-in-Edhil to warn Celebrimbor to be wary of strangers bearing gifts.

Various short pieces.
Newest (3/19/16):
"Ammë": Curufin and Celebrimbor struggle with the absence of Celebrimbor's mother.

It seems likely that a Maia of Aulë would have been on friendly terms with Mahtan's household. Most of the time.
Curumo and four generations of one family.
Update: Final chapter, "The Spike." Saruman sees Celebrimbor, and possibly wishes he hadn't.

In the Halls of Mandos, Celebrimbor and Gil-galad receive a unique assignment: go as ghosts to Barad-dur and distract Sauron from his war against the free peoples of Middle-earth. MEFA 2010 Humor Incomplete 3rd place winner.

Sundry tales of Elven politics.

Different decisions by Sauron lead to startlingly different futures, while chance causes the best-laid of plans to go awry.

The third Kinslaying was a hideous self-inflicted wound for the elves of Beleriand. With a little common sense and pragmatism, could it have been averted? Or is that asking too much of all parties involved?

Aredhel and Fingon supervise Idril and Tyelpe’s Christmas Cookie baking playdate.

Mandos fic madness for Halloween. In the halls of waiting, on the ward of the Ñ-specials, Tyelpe Curufinwion, Fëanorian brat extraordinaire, tells of his coming to Gondolin.
Written for alackofghosts on tumblr whose character design for Tyelpe I have shamelessly stolen. It was her art who made me wonder how this could happen.

In after days historians would forget much about the Dagor Bragollach, and many things were left out of the Quenta Silmarillion, written with the gift of hindsight. But the coming of Celegorm and Curufin to Nargothrond was at first held as the greatest fortune to come to the Noldor out of that battle, for by their aid alone did Orodreth survive the fall of Tol Sirion.

A study in sentiments over time; a collection of moments surrounding Melkor and Sauron, from the Spring of Arda to the fall of the Third Age.

The Lays JRR Tolkien did not write for very good reasons. Part Eight: The Harp and other poems. MEFA 2010 nominee.

Gil-galad and Círdan attend mid-summer festivities in Eregion. An unwelcome guest crashes the party.
