New Challenge: Everyman
Create a fanwork about an ordinary character in the legendarium using a quote about an unnamed character as inspiration.

AU. Morgoth never hangs Maedhros from Thangorodrim, which means Fingon is unable to rescue him. Centuries later, the Union of Fingolfin results in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, and a prisoner takes his chance for escape.

Another B2MEM 08 submission, this one about Losgar. A possible glimpse into the thoughts and motivations of the "gentle" second son of Fëanor who did not, in fact, stand aside.

Debuted in B2MEM after being properly aged. A double drabble on songwriting.

This is a birthday gift for Kenaz. A ficlet involving Maglor and Maedhros, which is set in the Time of the Trees in Formenos, at the home of Fëanor and his wife and sons. It is set in the same universe as my story Maitimo and Findekáno and occurs a couple of years earlier. I hope it is obvious from the ficlet that Maedhros and Maglor are very young adults and Fingon is the equivalent of a teenager. (There is a reference to slash in this piece but no sexual content.)
MEFA 2008 Second Place: Elves - House of Finwë

Maglor wanders physically, seeks subconsciously, and finds. Really.

Neithan, an elf who was abandoned at a young age, has finally left his home of long. When he finds that he is not the son of Dior, his friend is killed and Fëanor’s sons attack his home of Doriath, the darker side of Neithan is revealed and he begins to search for what he wants. But what does he want? R&R
Set in the First Age of Middle-Earth in Beleriand. Title may change but I’m not sure yet

Maglor's life and, in the end, fate seems to be influenced a great deal by the Oath. But what defined him at the very core? A tripple drabble or actually a drabble series with three true drabbles.

~ MEFA 2008 Second Place in Races: Elves: Other Fixed-Length Ficlets, thank you Pandemonium for nominating it! ~

Maglor has carved out a new life for himself as one of the most famous figures in the modern world...

For Oshun, how Maglor devised the Noldolantë. 2008 MEFA nominee.

A little ficlet in which Maedhros muses on the frivolous affair that is the Begetting Day Celebration. (Warnings for potentially offensive language and bawdy humour, or attempts thereof!)
This was written for Oshun's 2007 birthday, and was originally posted to the SWG LiveJournal community.

For Hannah, an "AU in which Fëanor outlives all of his children." Fëanor and Maglor, together at the end. MEFA 2008 nominee.

In answer to the question, "Maglor, why didn't you rescue Maedhros; why did the poor chap have to wait for cousin Fingon to go get him?" posed by Jillian Baade at the LiveJournal site.
My response to the "Ask a Character" challenge, from the beginning of days (before monthly newsletters, even!).

Maglor makes the perfect harp.

Maglor's and Maedhros' first conversation after maedhros has been saved from Thangorodrim.

And now for something a bit controversial: Elrond stands on the deck of the ship carrying him to Aman writing notes in a journal.

SWG Silmarillion Anniversary Contest, Third Place Winner, Short Works

Maglor remembers his long lost brother.

Maedhros before the attack on Doriath

It is Midwinter and Maedhros refuses to celebrate and scoffs at Maglor’s attempts to cheer him up. Later that night he is visited by the ghost of his dead lover and later of three ghosts. Yes, it is a rewrite of Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol.

Fingon has kept his feelings for Maedhros hidden for many years but under an unexpected visit from his cousin he finds himself unable to hide them any longer.

A poem about what motivated Maglor to not kill Elrond and Elros but instead, rear them as his own.

Maglor reflects when only he and Maedhros remains alive

Maglor is left when all others are dead
